The Atonement
24”x48” Abstract
“For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the Lord from all your sins.”
Leviticus 16:30
The entire painting symbolizes us as a whole person reborn in Yeshua. However, there are things we still hold on to that we haven’t fully released to Him: anxieties, fear, doubt, lack, and so much more! These things are represented by the bricks. Yeshua is the chief cornerstone and our foundation and healing comes when we fully surrender to Him.
When painting the blood lines, the phrase “Life is in the blood” came to me. I saw that it represented blood being shed for both sides —Jew and Gentile. Note how the blood lines come together in the middle. It is only through the sacrifice of Yeshua whose blood covers all things even in the multitude of our sins.
The moving waters represent the cleansing and healing of His sacrifice for us. As we surrender to Him on a daily basis, we allow Yeshua to wash us by the power of His Word.
The painting and scripture is in reference to Yom Kippur - being a day of remembrance and repentance; Remembering Yeshua as the redeemer and conqueror of all things. He conquered ALL for Israel first, for you, for me and for all the nations.
