Take a look at these scriptures:
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalm 145:18
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
The word “near” according to strong’s concordance can mean several different things: next, at hand, ready, neighbor, etc.
Ponder these questions:
“If Jesus lived next door as my ‘neighbor’, how close is He?”
“If an orange is ‘at hand’, how far do I have to extend my reach to grab hold of it?
“If I was standing in line waiting for coffee, how far behind me is the ‘next’ person?”
If you read the scriptures, you can get an idea of what the word “near” means in these examples, then you can see just how CLOSE Jesus is to us!
He’s at hand, he’s ready, he’s right next to you!
I know this because He showed me!! The first few pictures I took with the original framed drawing, there was a radiant rainbow surrounding the reflection of my face and guess what else I saw?!
His hair behind my face in the reflection!! Call me crazy or whatever you want! But it was NOT my hair! And it wasn’t the drawing. It was HIS!
At times I feel like there’s something wrong with me, like I’m not doing something right. Sometimes I feel alone. Sometimes I feel misunderstood! Sometimes there are battles I have to fight alone but for the first time in my 4 year serious walk with the Lord, He showed me something that I will forever cherish! And it wasn’t meant for just me, it’s meant for you too!
YOU —- Whoever you are I’ve come to say that you are in fact NOT ALONE! It may feel like it, seem like it, but you’re not! He’s near (at hand, next, ready) to you! As always, have faith and grab hold onto His word because there’s so much He wants to reveal and say to you!
